If we want to say in Arapaho that 'I am seen' as opposed to seeing someone else, we can combine the TA verb form and an AI verb ending. Study the following:

 

nonóóhobéíhi-noo

 

This word is made up of nonoohob- ('to see someone'), -eihi- (the same ending we saw on "I am strong, I am red," etc), and -noo, meaning 'I.' Other examples are:

 

henééteenebé3en	I respect you.
henééteenebéíhinoo	I am respected.
henééteenebéíht	He is respected.

 

You can do this for any TA verb:

to'ob-	'hit'	too'obeihi-noo	'I have been hit'
hoxob-	'feed'	hooxobeihi-noo	'I have been fed'
biin-	'give'	nih-biineihi-noo	'I was given something'

You can say this for any person as well:

 

nih-biineih(i)-t	'he/she was given something'
nih-biineihi-n	'you were given something'
nih-biineihi-3i'	'they were given something'
nih-biineihi-no'	'we were given something'
koo-heih-biineih	'were you given something?'
koo-neih-biineih	'was I given something?'
koo-neih-biineihi-be	'were you (plural) given something?'
