Robin Queen is Associate Professor of Linguistics and German at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Her research lies at the intersections of language contact, language variation and sociocultural landscapes and ideologies. Her research areas include language in the mass media, language, gender and sexuality, intonation, contact-induced language change and language ideologies. She received her PhD in Linguistics from the University of Texas in 1996.
