Department strongly recommends that any student interested
in corpus-based research take
LING 5200: Corpus
Linguistics.
In the meantime, however, you can visit the Linguistic Data
Consortium (LDC) website to familiarize yourself with the
available corpora and to learn how to use tgrep to perform
pattern searches in parsed corpora.

and type in "tgrep". It will give you several links
explaining how to use the tgrep command, which is available
