Malcah Yaeger-Dror

Malcah Yaeger-Dror is a research scientist in the Cognitive Sciences program at the Univerity of Arizona. She is on leave this year at the Linguistic Data Consortium (LDC), developing sociolinguistic coding for corpora under development. Her research interests include sociophonetics --particularly as evidence of self-identification (or 'indexing') and its influence on language use, 'style' variation, dialect change and interaction strategies. Her research in sociophonetics has also been put to use in forensic and speech technology applications. She has published on sociophonetic variation in English, French, Hebrew, Japanese and Spanish.
