Malka Rappaport Hovav

Malka Rappaport Hovav is Professor of Linguistics and Head of the School of Language Sciences at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She received her PhD in Linguistics from MIT in 1984, was then affiliated with the Lexicon Project of the MIT Center for Cognitive Science from 1984-1987 and taught at Bar Ilan University from 1984-1999. Her work investigates the semantic representation of events and the nature of argument realization. She co-authored, with Beth Levin, Argument Realization (2005) and Unaccusativity: At the Syntax-Lexical Semantics Interface (1995) and co-edited, with Edit Doron and Ivy Sichel, Syntax, Lexical Semantics, and Event Structure (2010).
