Bhuvana Narasimhan

Bhuvana Narasimhan received her PhD from Boston University, continued as a postdoctoral fellow at Bell Labs, and went on to become a scientific staff member at the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics. She joined the linguistics faculty at the University of Colorado, Boulder as Assistant Professor in 2008. Her research examines how language relates to cognition and how children learn languages. Specific research areas include descriptive semantics, how language influences thinking, and developmental psycholinguistics, focusing on the acquisition of verb meaning, argument realization, and information structure.
