Marianna Di Paolo

Marianna Di Paolo is Associate Professor of Linguistics and of the Center for American Indian Languages at the University of Utah. Her administrative work includes serving first as the Director of the Linguistics Program and then as the first Chair of the newly formed Department of Linguistics. Her research interests include variation in Western American English, focusing on Texas and Utah. As primary investigator of the Wick R. Miller Collection Shoshoni Project, her research also includes language documentation and revitalization. She also has oversight of the Ninam (a Yanomaman language) documentation project.
