Maya Bradley

Maya Bradley is an Honorary Associate in Linguistics at La Trobe University. She has also taught linguistics at Monash University and Tel-Aviv University among other places. Her main research interests are theoretical syntax, descriptive linguistics and language maintenance, especially concerning Tibeto-Burman and Semitic languages. She has done extensive field research on various Tibeto-Burman languages in Thailand and China and on Hebrew. She is currently doing research on Lisu, a language of China, Burma, Thailand and India, and trying to assist the Lisu community in their langguage-maintenance efforts. She is the co-author of Problems of Asian Students in Australia (1984) and a dictionary of Lisu (2006) and co-editor of Language Endangerment and Language Maintenance (2002).
