Emmon Bach

Emmon Bach is the Edward Sapir Professor Emeritus of Linguistics at the University of Massachusetts (Amherst) and Professorial Research Associate in the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London. He holds a BA (1949), MA (1955), PhD (1959) from the University of Chicago in Germanic Languages and Literatures. His previous appointments include positions at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Hampshire College, CUNY Queens College and the University of Texas, Austin. His primary fields include syntax, semantics, Wakashan and Germanic Linguistics and categorial grammar.
