Many Arapaho Nation's Tribal leaders cannot speak the Arapaho language.

"The man that runs all the ceremonies has to be able to speak Arapaho. And that’s going away and that needs to be brought back. We’re not gonna get nowhere. We’re going to lose everything with that attitude because this old man Ambrose Brown told me before he died, from here on I’m telling you; he told me: 'everything will be run by money, people will pushing each other away to get into these ceremonial positions. They won’t worry about qualifications.'"
