The design takes into account the four central colors (red, green, yellow and black ) of the Arapaho Nation. The four rings on the bottom right incorporate these colors and the sacred number four. The rings also represent the ongoing cycle of Arapaho culture. The Arapaho are constantly undergoing change through acculturation. WIth this change, they haved incorporated contemporary culture within their own traditional ways of life.
