1. ‘where a house is located’ ; 2. ‘tipi pole creek’ [?]

Note

named in early 19th century, when a single house was located along the river. Name recorded by Hayden in 1859-60. Second name given by Mark Soldierwolf for Fort Collins area. May be a vaguer reference to Laramie, WY, area, which was called ‘where we get tipi poles’.
