I’m a PhD student at the University of Colorado at Boulder, in the Department of Linguistics and the Institute of Cognitive Science. My specialization is in computational linguistics, and I am a research assistant to Dr. Martha Palmer. I have worked in word sense disambiguation and currently work on named entity recognition, semantic role labeling, and higher-level information analysis for Twitter. I also work on the VerbNet team.
My primary research interests are in computational models for human interaction. I am especially interested in interactions between conversational structure, Speech Acts, and larger-scope conversational actions.
